The ideal candidate will be experienced with tax planning for individual, trusts, corporate and large partnership tax returns. The Firm services quality clients in diversified industries, performs high-level work and operates on a progressive, paperless digital platform. Candidates will have the opportunity to perform work on all phases of accounting and tax, including performing tax planning and compliance, tax preparation and review and research. Job Description: Tax Director
The Tax Director reports to the CEO and manages tax teams, overseeing 15 Tax employees.
Lead the Tax Teams to achieve the firm's goals for utilization, realization, and billable hours.
Manage the workload of the Tax workflows to ensure great client care.
5-plus years of related tax experience.
Previous management experience
Conduct Tax Research regarding tax issues.
Review tax information submitted by clients.
Able to establish workload priorities and perform assigned tasks in a timely manner with little supervision.
Responsible for coordination of Federal, State, and Local Income and Franchise Tax return preparation, filings and payments.
Tax planning forecasting.
Drive the investigation opportunities for tax savings.
Process improvement for tax provision and compliance.
Assist in systems and technology solutions.
Project development and acquisition support.
Manage multi-state reviews for franchise, exemptions, income, credit and corporate.
Work closely with the tax department to ensure performance of tax planning, client interaction and special projects.
Collaborate with staff on income tax preparation and planning.
Represent clients with IRS, State or other audits.
Research and resolve tax and accounting issues affecting our clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and exceptional service.

Tax Software. (Lacerte Tax a plus)
Microsoft Office Suite 365 – Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Time Management and Billing System. (Practice Software a plus)
CPA certification required.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required (Master's preferred)
5 plus years' experience.
In-depth tax knowledge at the local, federal, and multiple states levels
Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to clients
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Contributing an Existing Client Base increases potential for firm leadership role in the future.
