Yana joined Cantrell & Associates as an intern in January 2016 and became a full-time Tax Associate in October 2016. Her current responsibilities include the preparation and review of corporate, partnership and individual income tax returns, as well as state income and franchise tax returns. She also helps clients with their various accounting needs such as reconciling accounting files necessary for tax compliance, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, payroll processing and preparation of internal and external financial statements.

Education
- Yana earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors from the American University of Bulgaria.
- She completed her Master of Science in Accounting at UT Dallas where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Excellence scholarship and the Student Impact Graduate scholarship.
- Yana is a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and is currently working towards becoming a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
Hobbies
- Outside of work Yana enjoys reading, international travel to visit her parents and sister.
- She is bilingual – English and Bulgarian
